OUR STORY

The Birth of Sabine Jean

After relocating from Atlanta to Los Angeles, I quickly realized that my skin was changing.

The beautiful California sunshine came with challenges I had never experienced before. I struggled to find skincare products that provided lasting hydration without leaving a heavy, greasy feeling on my skin. Over time, I developed melasma and sunspots from prolonged sun exposure, and after the birth of my second daughter, my melasma became even more pronounced—a condition many women know as the "pregnancy mask."

Like so many women, I searched endlessly for products that would address my concerns while respecting the unique needs of melanated skin. Unfortunately, I found myself disappointed time and time again.

Out of frustration, determination, and a desire for better solutions, Sabine Jean was born.

What began as a personal journey to improve my own skin evolved into a mission to create luxurious, effective skincare for women with diverse skin tones who deserve products that deliver results without compromise.

As my career brought me opportunities to work in Hollywood and alongside some of the world's most recognizable talent, I gained a deeper appreciation for the transformative power of beauty. I witnessed firsthand how exceptional skincare, beautiful hair, and confidence work together to help women show up as their best selves.

Over the years, I noticed another challenge many women faced: finding truly luxurious wigs without the endless guesswork.

Too often, women invest hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars on wigs only to be disappointed by poor quality, misleading descriptions, or products that simply don't meet expectations. I knew there had to be a better way.

As a license Master Cosmetologist and Celebrity Image Stylist, with over 20 years of expertise in the beauty industry, I take pride in creating a luxury, effective, yet affordable skincare line that address the most common skin concerns: anti-aging, blemishes, dullness, and dry skin. As a Haitian child, born in Boston that relocated to Atlanta at a young age, I faced a lot of unfair stereotypes and battled with insecurities. I had to find my own identity in a world of beauty that was not fashioned after the woman with melanated skin at that time. I enjoyed self-care, pampering myself, and helping other people around me look and feel beautiful.

I was asked by my husband, at 21 years old, what I wanted to do as a career. I told him I wanted to be a hairstylist. I enjoyed the company of other individuals, working for myself, and anything that made me look pretty! So, I guess you can say cosmetology found me. I enjoy helping people feel comfortable, while reminding them that "your beautiful in the skin you're in". To me, that’s what’s important.
